Hello,

A friend is after a new AV Receiver (already got speakers), that has at least 2 digital inputs. I’ve had a look and can only find AV’s costing above £200, can anyone recommend a cheap AV receiver (does not have to have HDMI).

Cheers
Edit, just found this, any comments?

KENWOOD KRF-V5300D (£150)

Just go second hand. Onkyo 506/606 might be creeping under that by now. Basically all the amps that were popular this time last year and before. Alternatively stump up a bit more for a brand new Sony STR-DG820, great value kit.

Cheers for the advice, i'm going to go for the 'Sony STR-DG820' but i don't think my mate will stump up that much cash.

My mate was daft enough to buy an all in one with no digital inputs (Sold with a HDTV) and has SkyHD and a 360.

If your using the speakers currently bundled with the all-in-one you might want to check the spec of them. Wattage & Resistance, but should be fine. Personally I'd just take back the AIO as its really not fit for purpose, and get something like the Jamo 102 set to go with the Sony.
