AV receiver?

Hi guys I would love to get into HiFi audio but my budget is quite limited. I found pioneer VSX-2020-k
that looks like new for 110 is it worth buying or should I spend my money somewhere else? For the speakers, I haven't found any but my budget is around 200 pounds. Any suggestions?

A AVR isn't Hi-Fi. But £100 seems acceptable. Never owned Pioneer. As for speakers the usual brands, second hand etc. But you need to get idea of sonic presentation of speakers & AVR and how one speaker may not match with AVR's (and vice versa)

I've got an old LX-52 and it's still a great bit of kit so that seems good value...

As per second post, AV isn't hi-fi, but I suppose it depends what you want really; just an amplifier for stereo speakers, or whether you are looking at an AV receiver because you need something that you want to connect all devices to for video as well as audio.
