I wonder what your experiences of different AV software is. I use Norton that I get free with my BTBroadband but it seems to drag the boot time and performance of my pc down but I haven't had any virus problems so am loathe to change. One of my friends uses Kapersky and thinks it is really good but I thought it would be a good idea to get the opinion of youu guys before I change.

Thanks for looking.

I use AVG on all my systems except one and on that I use Avast!

The free Anti Virus software are good. I truly recommend AVG.

Another vote for NOD32 (I expect you will get a lot of these).

Great antivirus, uses less system resources than any other I’ve tried.

Nod32 and Kaspersky are quite popular here. AVG/Avast are quite good free versions. I'm sure most people will say that almost anything is better than Norton. :p

Btw poll here.

I've been thoroughly impressed by both Nod32 and AVG in the past and use them on my home machines. Either one of the two will provide good protection, low system resources and remain unobtrusive.
