Available cable for hdmi 2.1 with 8k@240Hz DSC

Hi all with the next Gen nvidia now released does anyone know what UK cable will support the above spec, This is for the Samsung 57" 8k monitor.

I know HDMI 2.1b is also around but it's like a minefield trying to get confident information

Any help appreciated

That screen has DisplayPort 2.1 at UHBR13.5 and you’ll need to use that to power the full spec. HDMI 2.1 isn’t enough bandwidth even with DSC

You’ll need a DP 2.1 capable graphics card and then a cable certified as DP54 (as in 54Gbps which is the speed supported by UHBR13.5)

Thanks for that explanation, hoping to have a 5090 in a few weeks, but in the interim for my daughters new rig I've bought a 7900xt so was hoping to try that out.

That AMD card features UHBR13.5 DP 2.1 so should work fine. You’ll need the relevant cable as I said though.
