Hi Guys

we have the brand new ultra high end headset from creative due to land tomorrow, I am looking into doing a review on this set as the pre production sample I tested was very impressive. With a raft of features like THX and wireless rechargeable batteries, this is sure to be popular.

Hi there,

Hey there...

The Tactic3D Wrath does indeed share the same componentry of the Omega and are built on the same chassis.
The major difference lies in that the OMega headset has a different transmitter / receiver that allows for connection to an Xbox360 or PS3 (or any analog source).
The Wrath is only compatible with PC / Mac.
The performance of the two headsets will be nearly identical (awesome gaming audio!).

this is about right, the wrath sample was identical to the omega when creative showed them to us

So now G930 is back in my "possible purchase list". rjkoneill, would you have tested the G930 ? It would be very helpful to me if you could compare the G930 and the Wrath (or anyone who would have been able to compare both. Even if it was with the omega, as the wrath should sound exactly the same).

I am personnaly hesitating a lot between both.

the g930 availability is very poor. I have not been able to buy any European stock for months.

the g930 is a lot heavier than the wrath. I found the wrath comfortable and the foam in the earcups softer than that of the logitech set.

Beside this, other aspects seem on par:

they are both evenly matched, that is for certain. I like them both a lot, I found the Wrath easier to use and the features were very nice.

creative are sending me a retail sample to review soon but this will not be until after Christmas now.

Tricky decision. But I have to decide now so I can order tomorrow to be sure to get it for christmas. Any input that would help making a decision would be greatly appreciated :D

I would personally go for the Wrath if you need it before christmas.
1. because you will be paying over the odds for the g930 if you even manage to find it in stock anywhere
2. because the wrath is cheaper and ready to ship.

the audio quality of the wrath is what surprised me, punchy bass and a smooth sounding treble when listening to music.

a movie demo and gaming demo showed that the different software EQ settings for the wrath allow for a little more customisation.

the headsets are certainly on par sound wise, and both are so good, it is difficult to suggest an alternative to either for consumers looking for a wireless gaming set.
