I can't remember the exact problem, but a couple of months ago I had an error saying some DLL or other was missing in C:\Program Files\AUAST\, it took a while to notice the spelling mistake, when I noticed it I copied the avast folder and named the copy auast, never saw the error again and forgot all about it.

Since then I've reinstalled windows on an SSD, fresh install of everything including avast, still no problems.

Last weekend I upgraded my brother's PC, including upgrading to windows 7 x64, then a couple of days ago he showed me the same error I was getting months ago, I applied the same fix I'd used and all was well. Until tonight that is, he phoned me and told me he was getting a very similar error, but this time it was looking for a file in ATAST, he copied what I'd done but this time with the new spelling and the error has gone.

I know this shouldn't be happening, but is it something to worry about? His virus definitions are up to date and he's done a full scan that came back clear.
