Avatar picture (How the?)

Here's a question: Rexehuk is a Wise Guy while MissileMoose is a Gangster but they have the same avatar. Both can be seen on page 1 of this topic. In some other users, the gangster and wise guy image is different. Just wondered how.

Whevever you gain a new title, gangster or wise guy, you don't get given a specific avatar, you just unlock a new one.
You don't have to choose it, you can choose any of the one's you had previously unlocked.

Achievement Unlocked - No Life.

As said you don't have to pick the avatar that the most recent postcount milestone gives you access to and indeed you don't need to have an avatar at all. I prefer it with avatars on for the spacing of the posts if nothing else but you do at least have the option to turn them all off as well.
 
I too love how simple and minimilistic the signatures are of here.
Too many times I've scrolled through forums (often for things more populated by teen girls and mothers*) and the amount of images they have and quotes etc I end up having to stop and read to make sure it isn't an other post!
Trying to think of one off the top of my head, I want to say a sims3 forum*, but who knows.

*worse thing thing about these forums is the amount of butt kissing that happens. Everything is rainbows and sunshine and little dancing fairies ontop of unicorns. Especially the sims3 forum where designs which are crap just don't get critised properly, it's often "honey, that decoration is just sweet, keep it up and focus on details like that, just keep practising girl." while I just want to go in all Simon Cowell on their *** and tell them the truth.....sorry rant came from nowhere

Are you sure you selected the new avatar with the radio button and clicked to save changes? It's quite easy to forget to do one of the actions and then wonder why it hasn't changed. As Tefal says ctrl+F5 would force a hard refresh but since I'm still seeing the gangster avatar for you then I don't think that's the reason.

If you've checked and are sure you've done everything correctly then it might be worth contacting on the Commissarios and asking them to take a look into the options in case something odd has happened.

i think we should go for a dinosaur theme (in keeping with ocuk's prebuilt pcs). spinosaurus or t-rex would be the top and compys would be the noobs
 
Dinosaurs would be awesome! Perhaps a new avatar theme each year should be introduced, with an end-of-year poll? That would be epic.
