Avaya Phonemanager

Has anyone used the IPoffice phonemanager system? Our entire company uses this phone system but our boss doesn't like the idea that the phones cannot be used without the computers being switched on and logged into the phonemanager software - is there any way to make the phones work without the computers or are they 100% tied together?

Our office's all use avaya equipment. Our PC's don't need to be on for the phones to work, although I don't know if we use that software.

I know it's not much help.

The last place i worked in used these and you didnt need the PC to be on.
Cant remember much about the set up.

Its weird - some of the phones work and some don't. If someone phones whilst not logged into the system it comes up as "NoUser" on the software - but we can't call them back again. I am trying to contact Avaya at the moment but they are hard to contact

We use it at our office and it will only log calls when your PC is on.

I'm guessing there is an option somewhere. Get the contact details of the folk that sold the system, yo umight have a support contract with them, ask them
