Just wait for the Thanos, Ultron and all the other dead villians will return in Doomsday videos :cry: At this point it would be more of a reveal of who isn't returning in Disney's hail mary to try and get people interested in the MCU again post End Game decline
 
So what's this film about? Not seen trailers but I know all the old cast is there to milk the franchise dry.

They couldn't do that because the whole chat would be how did Tony stark end up being Dr doom, had to lay out clearly that he isn't Tony Stark way before the film hit.

Why bother casting him as Dr doom then? And Dr doom is not as menacing as thanos nevermind Khan the great.

Marval is done. They should have just scraped it all and start fresh again with a whole new cast and a whole set of new writers..

The obvious answer is that they decided they needed RDJ back for ratings. Whether that's the actual answer I dunno.

In the context of the MCU? People invested in the MCU couldn't care less if Dr. Doom was Brad Pitt or whoever else. They see RDJ, the man who kick started the MCU and the former leader/co-leader of the Avengers and they start clapping like a seal. They'll ask why he's playing Dr. Doom later. All of these trailers are basically this




But on this same point, who exactly would have more pull than RDJ? He's become a big star in his own right, largely thanks to Marvel. I mean who are you thinking? Tom Cruise or something?

Henry cavil for one. Already had the pull over wither series and dc as superman so imagine him coming from dc to Marval. Infact that alone would drum up a huge media spotlight around it.

They would go to town with that quite easily

Tag line reveal could be like " known actor who has turned into the dark side as joined the Marval verse to reek havoc" or some other sly comment saying ex superman coming to destroy the avengers without mentioning superman. A lot to play with

How is that much different than the literal (co) leader of the goody-two-shoes world saving Avengers suddenly becoming evil (or the same actor now portraying an evil character)? And Henry has already done a tongue-in-cheek appearance by being in Deadpool, so it'd be a bit weird for him to appear a second time as a serious full-time player now. It'd be kind of like bringing Ben Kingsley's "Mandarin" back as a serious threat this time, although I'm sure Marvel can asspull any plot out if they use the words "multiverse" and "timelines" enough times.

It's funny that you think Cavil is a bigger name than Robert Downey Jr when it comes to the MCU.

Cavil hasn't really done anything since his MCU cameo.
