Average Speed Check

I think an average speed check in built up areas would be a very good thing, as that's where speeding is actually more of a danger.

I think it's dumb because you should be looking out for pedestrians and cars doing daft things in areas like this, not having your eyes glued to the speedo. Average Speed Monitoring is just another added stress to the driving experience.

The Reading council are talking about making the IDR a 30MPH zone soon...!

Probably so they can stick more speed cameras up, and put out stupid small signs saying "The speed limit on this road is 30MPH" as opposed to an actual 30 speed limit sign, like they did in Berkley avenue

If used appropriately, this is a great idea. Somehow I think it's going to be abused though

I don't need to look at the speedo to know I'm doing under 30Mph I can just tell by the gear I'm in and the sound/speed of the car.
