Average water use / month?

Just wondering what the average water use is in CBM for a household of one person?

I have a little water leak which doesn't exactly seem like a lot of water, but according to the bill I received today - I've used 53CBM of water in 1 month - does this sound a lot?

is that 5300 litres.. my maths is terrible... 30/5300 = 170ish L a day. Seems like a lot yes.

you are probably leaking 5+L a day. if its a drip

53 is a lot - I keep a track of the water usage for 80 households here.

The average single person wouldn't exceed 15m3
Looking at my data, we have NO households on the island that uses 53m3

Actually, looking at it, my data is for a quarterly period!

According to google - 1CBM = 1000 Litres , does that sound right?

So 53CBM = 53000 Litres?!?!

53CBM (53,000 litres ) is what we used in 6 months, two adults, two children.

Things to do:
- Check the meter again, maybe they misread a digit.
- Check the toilets, maybe they keep using water when not in use.
- Check taps and other places for leaks

It must be the leak - initially this leak was inside but then moved outside so I can't really see how much it is leaking - but the meter is moving constantly (albeit, slowly)

There's no other leaks .. guess I need to remember to turn off water when not in use , till the plumber comes around

Should I be able to claim the difference in the water bill from my Landord? Seeing as he didn't arrange to have it fixed in a timely fashion?

Although I feel a bit out of order doing this, as he isn't having the best of times at the moment.
