Have they managed to release a fix for this bug yet:confused: You know the one where bioshock.exe is regarded as a virus by AVG as obfustat.ADFM

I've been searching forums and they all say one of 3 things but no definite fix.

1.Unistall AVG and replace it with Avast.- Just to play one game?

2.Disable resident shield and restore the *.exe from the virus vault then run a repair job on the game. - Works fine, but when you restore the resident shield you have the same problem again.

3.Update AVG - it is.

Anyone know of a permanent fix that doesn't require un-installing anything?

Thanks guys!:)

hmm i had this problem with COD4, all i had to do was add the game folder as an exclusion, so that nod32 wouldn't scan it.

I finished Bioshock recently with AVG Free installed, there were no conflicts between them (even on Vista! :D).

Are you using Bioshock patch 1.1?

Well that's the thing. I was playing the game just fine before, then a couple of days ago AVG did an update and ever since it's not been able to run the bioshock.exe because of it.

I had this problem when BS was first released, but a week later AVG update fixed it. Not seen it again - I'm actually playing BS atm too. No suggestions I'm afraid - maybe uninstall both AVG and BS, then reinstall in that order.
