Hi to all, I don't know if this has happened to anyone, but it seems that whomever is using AVG and has updated the anti-virus software is causing it to detect the FEAR game executable file as a virus called obfustat.jga Is there anyone who is using AVG and who also has FEAR installed experiencing the same issue?

However, the only workaround is to click ignore when the warning pops up and also to be able to play the game it is requested to turn off the AVG real-time shield.

I hope AVG come with a solution as it is quite annoying, i also scanned the file with other various anti-virus programs (kaspersky, sophos, Norton, Avast, etc) No threats detected.

Thanks.

Same thing happened to me today. Must be something about todays update! I figured I'd been hit with a virus somehow, it's a relief hearing it happened to you too :p So it's likely AVG being silly

Yes it is a bug from AVG, i have sent them a copy of the executable including a screenshot, will keep you posted if they reply to me.

Hi again, AVG replied back, infact it was a false positive, an update has been released to fix this issue, if FEAR.exe has been moved to your vault you have to restore it back in order to be able to play the game.
