AVG Error

Hi

Trying to install AVG on this laptop.
Getting this error message. Any idea why?

EDIT:
Should also add, i updated the laptop using the hp windows 7 disk. I then got rid of all of the hp update garbage and norton and all the other rubbish.

Did you try a norton removal tool to actually remove norton rather than uninstalling it which tends not to remove its remnants?

Norton removal tool first.
Then install MSE, instead of AVG

as i un-installed it already can i just use the removal tool now? then get mse?

tried to install mse on my desktop instead of avg but the site is not letting me dl it. Ill try tommorow
