AVG : Threat secured ?

This just recently started happening, but whilst browsing the forums my AVG keeps randomly popping up with

"Threat secured - We've safely aborted connection on findresults.site because it was infected with URL:Botnet"

I've googled it but nothing helpful came up and I expect if it was an issue on here others would have mentioned it, so any ideas what's triggering this?

Is this happening on specific threads? It may be a signature with a link in it.
 
aye it usually turns out to be a signature hosted on a site that may or may not have had something found on it recently.

The only way to really find out what is causing it is to note the threads and common users and narrow it down, as IIRC I can't do a search for a string in the sigs easily.

Ahh, thanks guys, I'll pay attention to what thread it is and who's posted when it pops up and see if there's a common link

I reported it to a Maccy last week. I'm getting it using Avast. I think Avast and AVG are the same company these days.

I know who's signature it is. But I'm not sure I should say on the public board.

According to some checks the Avast people did on the site it is blacklisted and listed as a critical security risk.

Is it @Dj_Jestar ? As it keeps popping up on the Govt performance thread and there was only him and @Dolph posted on the page I was on, and Dolphs sig is just a link to his email.
 
As mentioned, sack off and use Windows Defender. No more false positives on simple things like forums.

It was the 2nd person you mentioned in reply to me.

I have an adblocker on so I didn't see the signature image and like you just I got just the email address.
