Avi Codecs

Currently using Winamp. Have downloaded a cheeky .avi file however won't seem to play it. Has anyone got any good players or safe codecs to download so that I can play it??

Try VLC. If that doesn't work more than likely dodgy file. Not always but 95% of the time.

If VLC does not work, install FFDShow and WMP will probably play it (assumimg that the file is not corrupt).

use ffdshow

media player classic is better for videos than winamp.., (get winamp lite instead if you just use it for music?)
