i have a few avi files and every time i load them into vlc it says, that is has to repair them, following this it then plays flawlessly, wmplayer and winamp cant play these files they are avi and divx encoded, i did move these files along with the rest over to a new hdd a few months ago so am assuming they may of got corrupted in the process, however the rest haven't ??? the only thing i can think of is when i stream these to my ps3 or 360 is that its lost its meta-data or timeings etc? because on the 360 it displays a thumbnail but doesn't display any notes such as format or how long it is same on the ps3 so any good programs to fix this (i haven't got my original dv tapes either to copy across,
so am at a loss.....)
