Looking for a program to put a selection of AVI's onto a DVD and also a basic menu, nothing fancy.
I've got Nero but can't see an option of a menu, I'm just creating a DVD-ROM ISO and dragging them across.

I have a Ulead Video Studio 8 Disc somewhere that I got free with a DVD Writer, would that work?

Will this convert them to DVD format though? I need to keep them as AVI's to get more onto a Disc, currently my DVD player will play my avi's but I need a menu to easily view the one I want to watch.

Yes it will convert the avi files to DVD format....I misunderstood your first original post

Bit offtopic, but what is the quality of avi files on a dvd like? Never tried it

Its ok, watchable on my 42in plasma, you wouldn't do it for a big budget movie full of special effects.
I suppose converting them back upto DVD format makes no difference as you've lost the quality allready.

DVDiT by Sonic will allow you to add your files avi's/mpegs etc and create a menue with buttons and will then write to DVD.I use it quite a lot , it's good and quick.

You need to remeber that your dvd player mayne able to read avi files but it will need to be able to read avi menu's aswell to use this option. A lot of them will read avi's but not the menu's.

Think it would be called... DivX Ultra Certified DVD player

If so you could use a program called DivX author
