Avi's on dvd disc?

Hi there first time trying to use disk utility, I have 2 avi files that i want to put on to a dvd disc, i have open utility and selected burn but the to files i want to put on are sort of shaded out.
How do i put them on to a disc??

Ahh its ok i have just right clicked and noticed you can burn to disc.
Might be worth getting imgburn too.
