AW8-MAX RAID question

Hi guys
Just put together a machine for my m8 and i was wondering on peoples opinion about the onboard RAID contollers.

There are two....one is the standard Intel and the other is the silicon image.

Now only the MAX version comes with the silicon image one so i guess this is faster....what do you all reckon ?

I've got the same board and found no difference in speed on both the silicon or the intel raid setup ive got mine on the intel raid and ive had them on the silicon raid setup they are both the same well what ive noticed i maybe wrong im using SATA2 2x250GB hard disks with 16MB cache.

Thanks for replying....seems to work fine so hey....

Using a couple of Raptors so we shall see, he's pleased and we all know that if you build a PC for someone and they are happy that is good
