Does anyone else over think to much on time passing by?

Everyone around you getting older
People you grew up with dying, like parents friends etc

From a teenager, early 20's messing around and not a care in the world to late twenties thinking Oh **** time, is running away. Being an adult and not wanting to accept it.

Constantly dwelling on the past. Then the only answer that ever pops up. Just get on with it and live life to the full.

I overthink way to much about whats the point in life, why we are here.

Just me then?

I'm 26 this year and whilst I feel old, I also look back to when I was at school and realise just how far away it felt. Yeah I dwell on the past a lot, I find it funny that I give advice to people that I was given (and ignored) and realise my elders weren't making stuff up :)
I often have dreams about being back at school though and it's great.

Can't believe I'm 3 years away from being 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Where did it all go
2. I haven't really accomplished anything
3. School mates are all married with kids
4. A longing for the chance to start all over again but keeping the knowledge I know now

but
3. I still feel like I'm 16 inside.

Very odd

It is merely the perception of time, the more you have behind you, the shorter the periods become perceptually.

When 20 years ago seems like yesterday, it is hardly surprising that next week comes around so quickly.

Also if you have a routine, time seems to pass quicker, it doesn't, it is just that you remember specific events in your life and as you gain more events they seem closer than they really were and again time is perceived to be shorter than it really is.

sorta....

As above, the older you get the faster it goes. We're all accelerating towards the grave! I do think about it too much, long nights in bed pondering etc, but in the end the only answer is acceptance and get on with it. At least you're aware of how valuable your time is!

I turned 27 a couple of weeks ago and its seriously depressing. It seems that everyone I know is getting married and having kids, and im still years away from that.

The other big thing is that a good friend of mine died in November last year, which is 6 months ago already. sheesh :(

The more I think about stuff like that the more depressing it becomes.

'Living life to the full' ends up being just as pointless as not living at all, in the end... I think. Is there such a thing as a worthwhile life?

So why bother with it all anyway? I suppose the only answer is 'because I want to', and that is a fairly rubbish answer, but it's enough.

I dont wanna leave behind all my cool stuff when I die...ill take it with me!!! hahaha

Problem death ?

This is a touching subject for me as I was only talking about this the other day to my mates. It's almost as though time speeds up as we get older (Im 30). I often look at the '21 years old' tankard in my kitchen and think 'where did the years go?'. I think our perception of time changes as we get older and speeds up. Your still in your twenties so enjoy yourself and make the best of it ;)

I think it hits you when you see a photo of yourself 10 years ago or more.

You think to yourself what if I did 1 thing different back then, what would happen.

Scary thought.
