Away a long time

Could anyone recommend a cheap under £50 gpu as my old 1 died so am using an old 3650 with no fan at the mo, dont want to spend a fortune as built rig a few years back and dont play games too much these days.
Ive had a look on the bay and might make a bid on a NVIDIA 8800 GTS 512MB unless someone can suggest some thing else?

The 8800GTS is a great card. My misses runs my old one in her Pentium Dual Core/4GB DDR3 rig.

I cannot think of anything apart from the HD5670 that will give any better results than the 8800GTS.

If you going down the 2nd hand route you might want to see if you can pick a HD5770 but that might be just over your budget however the model below (HD5750) should be within your reach. Both of those will give you a lot better performance then a 8800 GTS not to mention they will put a lot less load on your PSU (which I'm guessing isn't that powerful given you were running 3650 of it before).

I must admit, i'm pleasantly surprised when I run games on my GTS. I run it at 1680X1050, and still get acceptable performance in a fair amount of titles.
