As per title, what's your the best/worst day out out you've had and why?
Worst Port Vale 2-1 Spurs, FA Cup 4th Round, January 30th, 1988
Not only did we lose terry Venables first game in charge but the tickets where very oversubscribed meaning that crowds were squashed in like sardines in the away end.. A year before Hillsborough, it was an accident waiting to happen as we know what happened a year later. I was terrified and the police sent the horses in the crowd!!! To make it worse the bus left without us as growd where dispersed away from the ground..
Best Aston Villa 0 - 3 , Spurs, August 23rd,
This was my first away game I drove to after passing my test . On the opening day Clive Allen scored a hat trick and went on to score 49 goals that season. How much would he be worse today? Was just such a great day.. Very hot too if i recall.
