Awesome/quirky food places in Southampton Area

Hi guys & gals,

So i've just had a marathon man vs food tv session and worked up an appetite for something bigger and different than the normal food you can find in most restaurants around the area.

I've lived here 25 years and never really ventured further than the normal pubs around here.

So is there such a thing? Or am i clutching at straws and need to move over to the states?

The Bouzy Rouge next to the Bargate. One of my favourite restaurants and most certainly can be described as 'quirky'.

Turtle Bay in MK is AMAZING!

There is a fully vegetarian curry house at the bottom of the high street near the Weatherspoons.
A like 300yr old public house not far up the road from that (red lion), but they only do standard home made food.
Il think of some more.

Ranchos Tuesday night all you can eat ribs. On a normal day I went the ribs were the best I have ever had.

Can't recommend it more man vs food style for you and friends.
