Got to love the Olympus 201's. The howl at full power is absolutely unique.
The Vulcan didn't sound the same with the Olympus 301's installed.
Luckilly 558 has the 201's.
Would love for her to be repainted at some point into the anti flash white paint scheme, but due to the funding issues and the lottery heritage people she'll remain in her camo scheme for the rest of her life. Which, due to the double engine failure a few weeks ago, is dramatically shortened.
No spare engines at all. These are the last 4 serviceable Olympus 20201's in the world. Once their service life is over - she's grounded. Kind of hoping she'll retire to Bruntingthorpe to join the Cold War Jets collections. Victor, Lightning, Buccaneer, Comet, Nimrod, Harrier, Jaguar, Jet Provost, Canberra... add the Vulcan and keep her running and that's one hell of a show.
