Awesome Vulcan Video

Got to love the Olympus 201's. The howl at full power is absolutely unique. :D The Vulcan didn't sound the same with the Olympus 301's installed.

Luckilly 558 has the 201's. :D

Would love for her to be repainted at some point into the anti flash white paint scheme, but due to the funding issues and the lottery heritage people she'll remain in her camo scheme for the rest of her life. Which, due to the double engine failure a few weeks ago, is dramatically shortened. :(

No spare engines at all. These are the last 4 serviceable Olympus 20201's in the world. Once their service life is over - she's grounded. Kind of hoping she'll retire to Bruntingthorpe to join the Cold War Jets collections. Victor, Lightning, Buccaneer, Comet, Nimrod, Harrier, Jaguar, Jet Provost, Canberra... add the Vulcan and keep her running and that's one hell of a show. :D

What better place for her to stay ..... awesome aircraft. I still love the Lightning too.

It dropped in to Staverton Airport last September and stupidly I thought I could simply drive over there to have a look ( I live five mins away) I did get some footage but ****ing Mr Whippy got in the way.

I managed to capture this with the phone while sat on my car window sill. :D

Was at a meeting at loch rannoch hotel today sat looking out over the balcony overlooking the loch when a c130 Hercules trundled past not much higher than we were sat right down the centre of the valley, was really cool, there's something gracefull about larger planes it looks like they are moving so slowly. the videos of the Vulcan it seems like its in slow motion, almost like they are defying physics by staying airborne!

Had one do a turn right above my head on the weekend at reasonably low level, I think I had a better view than the airshow folks as the planes kept turning over my house to have a run across the crowd.

Such an incredibly awesome machine, immense. Oddly the eurofighter was louder! And churrinf mental, soooo manoeuvrable.
