The PlayStation 4 version of Awesomenauts—Awesomenauts Assemble—will launch next Tuesday, March 4 in North America and Wednesday, March 5 in Europe for $9.99 / €9.99, Ronimo Games announced.

The popular 2D multiplayer online battle arena game is already available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The PlayStation 4 version adds seven new characters, a “boatload” of character skins, a new map, improved controls, and “a lot more upcoming content,” according to Ronimo founder Fabian Akker.

Players can take on the role of one of 15 Awesomenauts in fast-paced three-versus-three battles. You can play by yourself, with two more players in local split-screen, or online.

ill check the store when i get home at two if no one else is able to find out (y)

I've been checking on the PS Store in web browser now but it isn't there yet. I think it will be there along with Dead Nation when they update the PS Store.

Is this bsasically 2D 3v3 TDM?

ps3ud0

Not so much TDM; you have to destroy the other teams turrets before getting in and destroying their base.

I've clocked over 100 hours on the Steam version, so I have an unfair advantage. It's very fun killing all the console newbies though :D

I got it tonight and played for an hour or so, loads of fun, looks great too, nice vibrant and clear.

One of those games thats always better with people you know/chatting too

Decided to join up eh Rob?
Welcome to the party...lol

When we first played it and we were owning it was really fun - but I went on when you were not online and man can it be rage inducing when o nthe wrong team! Still, really fun game though but deff one to co-op on and work together as it spirals out of control for the losing team at times due to how the game works with levelling up etc

Anyone who plays, feel free to add me. Much more fun playing together than alone.

^ will add you later if I remember :)

Not sure if you've played the PC version, but the chat on there is often full of people arguing with their teammates :p

Or people complaining that a certain character is super-OP as there happens to be a player who is very good using that character

I have never played it before no. I don't really game on my PC much.

I can imagine a lot of that going on though in the chat. haha.
I tried a new character and jumped into a random game then some guy died and started shouting 'why the F didn't you heal me you idiot?' but I didn't have my headset on. I mean, the fool was trying to attack 2 others head on so I'm not really sure what he expected. Healing or not, he was dead. Plus I didn't even know I HAD a healing ability.

I'm still finding my feet with what character I prefer.

I liked playing with Yuri as he could heal, but also defend and get the odd kill and he is great for helping your creeps by taking our enemy creeps by hovering above them out of range.
But I need to determine who I'm going to use a lot as a damage dealer.

This is why I want to play with others as I joined with a melee character against 3 ranged characters and I died 11 times in row as I couldn't get close.
Against other melee characters with him I killed 10 times in a row. It's a bit like blind rock paper scissors at times with who you play with and end up against.

Nothing seems too OP so far because things that seemd to be to me, I tried them and was awful with them so seems things just suit peoples play styles

Yeh Yuri is very good for killing creeps, and with the range upgrade you can annoy other players :D also the bomb can be great for sitting up above their turrets and dropping a pile of them down to kill their creeps before they make it very far (and also for killing unsuspecting players who are rushing back to the turret with little health :p)

Ironically, Voltar (the healer) has one of the highest DPS out of all the characters. With a fully upgraded shield (that does damage to enemies) and drones, it can be awesome. The enemies think it will be an easy kill, but then they get slowed down in the shield, and take a huge amount of damage. Plus you can make serious money from healing other players, which helps get the upgrades fast.

I've been playing as Froggy G as I love the Splash Dash attack, and have been consistently getting 8/1 k/d.

The biggest tip to follow in this game is not dying. As simple as it sounds, running away is much more effective than running in, getting a kill, then getting destroyed by the rest of the enemies. Especially towards the end of the game when sometimes you may have to wait >20 seconds to respawn.

It does all depend on your team though, as some people are just in it for the kills. I've played a match where we had lost 3/4 turrets and had the enemy in our base, but somehow me and a friend managed to push through 2 of their turrets and straight to their base and wipe it out before they had finished ours (so much rage in the chat after that :D)

Good tip with Yuri about dropping the bombs down at their turrets for retreating foes. I find the healers to be brilliant when your team is pushing a turret as you can take them down quicker by healing your team and keeping creeps and enemies at bay a while longer.

Tried Froggy yesterday and liked playing as him too as his dash can be really good for chasing someone down, or retreating too.

I deff benefit from playing with others. Sounds daft but in multiplayer games I'm usually really good, but suffer from impatience. So in a bad team, I'm simply awful. In a good team, I just destroy everything. Sounds obvious, but some people are just the same no matter what. The way I play games, my style excels when I have support but suffers badly when I don't.

So deff have to team up with others so we can win.

I mean when playing with mates in BF4, my win rate is about 95% on the smaller game modes like SDM, TDM and Dom.
and Awesomenauts is exactly the same - trying to rush in and take them on alone is never going to work. You could be the best player ever but you're still not going to win any 1 v 3 fights in this game. (or any MOBA games really).

A reason why playing against AI is far harder than against players IMO. lol

Add me guys, got this at the weekend but finding it frustrating with randoms and end up having to take on turrets/enemies myself whilst my team mates run around solo getting killed :/

Even if I try and stick with them they go off on their own and end up dying leaving me holding down the fort on my tod.

Your already on my list so can join up for some games.

I'm going to be quite busy this week, then away on hol at the weekend but I plan to get a few hours on this on and off during the evenings as it's great to jump into for a couple of rounds in between other things.
