So I've had an iPhone 3GS on O2 and now a Samsung Omnia7 on T-Mobile and I struggle to get a call connected in central London. The phone always says that's its got full signal, but if I try and dial I get nothing. This has happened on both phone, on both operators, what the hell is going on ?? Does anyone else experience this or am I just cursed?

i regularly get the same thing, also on tmobile, but also use to happen on o2 as well. In my case probably due to the number of phones in a cell maybe, as i I live near a football stadium, and this always occurs whenever an event is on.

mobile data is pretty bad for me on orange, but that's to be expected i suppose. I don't often have to make calls but I hear my colleague's complain a lot about vodaphone call drop outs.

What I really can't understand is vodaphone is one of our big clients and when they visit the office they have a go at us for the signal problems

ask em for a picocell then, any decent sized business get's given them as part of the contract. Get your phones man to cry more ;)

Cell size for 3G towers does indeed shrink with more users, london suffers from this more than most due to population density but all networks are trying to fix it, it's a recognised problem over the last year.
