I was installing my new motherboard with my case on the desk, went to turn the case vertical and accidentally scratched a nasty diagonal line right through the center of the monitor.
It's a fancy acer Predator XB27HK 4K affair so i'm upset.
I looked for replacement panels but in the EU they are 800 notes and more expensive than the monitor. I did find the exact AU optronics panel in China for circa 200 notes but no idea if it will actually be fitable. Anyone got experience of that?
Anyone had a similar issue and know where new panels can be got from?
Going to phone Acer and Insurance people tomorrow to see what options are available there.
