I'm new to the forum so hello before I start. I'm building a wall mounted PC so I wanted to make it look nice by making my own cables. Does anyone know the size of the wire used with the ax1500? I've looked everywhere and even emailed corsair but I have had no reply. I'd also like to know if anyone could point me in the right direction for the wire/connectors/pins and sleeving? Thanks

Most ATX PSU wire is around AWG16, ATX pins & crimps are available from various sites along with the connectors. (1.2mm core)

Most Fan wires are around AWG18 (1mm core) there are a couple of online stores in the UK that sell them.
I know that they are part of the E22 range, but I don't think that OCUK stock them. You could probably google around for them.

I was after the actual size of the copper itself. I didn't want to make cables that was too small for the psu. I was going to buy a drum of wire the same size as the ax1500i once I found out the actual size. Thanks

The 24-pin ATX and all EPS and PCIe connectors use 16AWG gauges for lower voltage drops. All others utilize 18AWG wires. When you get the PSU you'll easily be able to strip the old cables to replicate the pinouts and reuse the connectors so doesn't seem too difficult.

I'd probably be tempted to overspec the conductors if making my own cables anyway.
