So... I've just rebuilt my WC rig with a replacement AX860i which was provided as a RMA replacement to my dead AX850 (thank you Corsair for the long warranty!).
I originally had an XFX 750W Silver in this machine and had it changed due to coil noise under GPU load and with the AX850 I had it was all silent.
Now, it sounds like I drew a short straw and have this back with the 860i...
As nothing else has changed I can only suspect it's the PSU not the gfx. Is there any more troubleshooting worth doing?
Noise comes alive whenever a GPU intensive app is run full screen and when you Win+D to desktop it goes away. I tied a few games and Furmark and it's present in all cases.
Can I try to RMA for another unit?
