Azureus is annoying me

I still mostly use Azureus because it's the most feature-rich and since it's Java it's cross-platform but µTorrent does indeed roxxor my soxxors when I use it.

I really wish they'd cook up Linux and Mac ports.

I was an azureus user completed as it was indeed feature rich and good, but I found it hogged so much memory and was sometimes tempramental. uTorrent is so far the only torrent client which I have found to be better, so much so that i no longer have azureus installed at all.

Azureus is the only BT client i can get good speeds on..the rest are 5kb/s max.

It randomly closes for me from time to time, try a reinstall.

you had utorrent setup incorrectly then

portforward.com and utorrent.com

dont set your uploads too high (stick under 20) becuase our uk connections are have very limited uploads

as someone on this forum said before "azereus users have not tried utorrent yet, 'period'"

i can't see what features anyone would want -what does azerues have that utorrent doesn't? (anyone?), my housemate used to use it until i showed him utorrent (been using it since v1) az used to really kill his pc

-edit, i dont trust java for desktop applications, they tend to be slow and awkward to use

I've found BitLord is faster and I get much better speeds when using it.

It also doesn't use Java so doesn't have the questionable reliability of Azureus.

Use Utorrent :p . Also try and reinstall the program to see if that is the fixes the problem, but seriously use Utorrent mate it surpasses Azureus in every way possible imo.

Does utorrent have the plugins?

Just curious as I have used utorrent but wasn't too keen on it.
