I have managed to break Azureus rather badly on my G4 PowerMac. When I start the program this is all I see:

Along with this error:

I've tried reinstalling Azureus, deleting all the application data, and reinstalling the latest Java updates (I couldn't find a complete Java package for 10.3.9). None of these have had any effect.

It started when I mounted the partition that contained Azureus from a Core 2 iMac and ran the program. It worked swimmingly but has given me this error ever since.

Have you any ideas about how I can remedy this situation? Other Java applications, such as NeoOffice, are unaffected Failing a solution, what is the consensus on Mac torrent clients nowadays? Transmission and Tomato Torrent are not quite up to it the last time I tested them and AFAIK the µTorrent OS X port is stalled or dead.

Woo hoo, it works!

Thanks a lot leezer. I downloaded and extracted swt.jar from the link you provided but was unable to find anything in /use/share. I searched for swt.jar and only found the new file. On a hunch I cd'd into /Applications/Azureus.app/Contents/Resources/Java and found it sitting there; swt.jar. I ran
cp ~/Desktop/swt-3.4M2-carbon-macosx/swt.jar /Applications/Azureus.app/Contents/Resources/Java/swt.jar
and it began working just fine.

I'm quite pleased. :D

Mac OS X applications are not actually solid binary files. They're directories that contain lots of other things. In this case swt (Standard Widget Toolkit) was located inside Azureus.app. I used the command line to replace the broken copy of swt.jar with a new one I downloaded from the link leezer3 provided.
