Hi guys,

Just picked up a second hand office PC based on a AZZA KT400-ALH MoBo, it has a Sempron 2Ghz (+2600), 512mb DDR 2700 & a 3D Prophet II MX400 Dual Display Card running at 4x AGP.

My problem is that if I attempt to swap the MX for my newer FX5200 (or my spare 6600GT) the PC refuses to power up (ie, nothing happens at all) ? Soon as I replace the MX it boots up ok ?

According to the MoBo manual its got a 1.5v Universal AGP solt so should run both cards ok, i've updated the 4in1 drivers to 5.01a & checked all the possible settings in the Pheonix Bios ( the manual reckons the board is 8x capable but only has options 1x.2x,4x in the bios?) but the PC will only work with the original MX400 in place ??

Both the FX & 6600GT are workers recently pulled from other machines so I cant understand why the PC will not boot/post when either is installed?

Any ideas?

Yeah it should run both of those cards just fine....maybe the PSU isn't providing enough juice for it to power the 6600gt as these cards will take more power than the older geforce.
