B Grade bargains!

Just picked up a BFG GTX 280 for £234 in the b-grade section.

Also saw a GTX 260 for £165 if anyones interested.

And a 3870 x2 for £150ish.

Dont wanna assist OCUK in selling their goods for them but everyone loves a bargain eh?

Yeah I saw that too but was put off by the huge block which you'd have to find room for, its not showing in that pic though.

The asking price was over £400 an hour ago!

GTX 260 £164.... what do you get with b grade graphics card? is it pretyt much OEM?

a GTX 260 is between a 4850 and 4870?

the mouse is a flipping bargin !!! if i didnt have my razor boomslang id buy one in a second !
in fact even though i have my boomslang i was still tempted to buy one lol

It can be OEM or sometimes you get the full retail package. You won't know till you get it.

Broadly speaking yes, although at times it blows away the 4850 and beats the 4870 or loses to the 4870 and is roughly equal to the 4850. Have a look through these benchies: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2008/07/11/summer-2008-graphics-performance-roundup/1

Some not bad prices, that water cooled GTX is a bit of a bargain. The GTX280 for under £250 also, nice.
It's the motherboards I'm looking at, nothing too special right now though.

Usually as returned/repaired item, often missing packaging or cables/disks. Warranty isn't as great either.
Sometimes worth a punt though, can make decent savings.

Something that's been repaired and OcUK wanna sell it on, or something that's been returned. It might be just the bare product so missing e.g. connecters or cables or blankplates etc. I have rarely ordered a b-grade product and it came in a plastic bag with jiffy envelope.
