B-Grade hardware

I hope I'm posting in the right place, basically i was just wondering what the main difference between B-grade hardware and the normal stuff on the site is. I gather its older and cheaper is the quality of the product just as good? The reason I'm asking is I'm thinking of building a new machine based on DDR 2 memory and a Q6600 processor.
