I've noticed there are B Grade mobos of the same type at different prices.

Can anyone explain why. Is it that some have less accessories or are actually damaged in some way.

Gigabyte **B Grade** Z97X-SOC Force Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard **Overclockers UK (

I assume this board will be OK but may just have bits missing?

There was a listing of the same board at £95 as B Grade whereas this one is £70.

I think it's just where the board sold for 95 a while ago and is now sold out and someone forgot to remove the listing then when a new board came in later down the line, they were allowed to reduce it more.

Just seems like an error on OcUK's half.

The board itself shouldn't be damaged at all, you just might be missing accessories etc. My b-grade board was missing a I/O Shield nothing too bad it was worth the discount.

Thanks for the responses.

Seems like a good deal for a decent board.

I have loads of cables etc and I can make an IO shield if needed.

You may even be able to get one from Gigabyte. We have a rep one here, Gigaman I believe his forum name is, he may be able to help get you sorted.

Its because when they put an item in b grade it automatically gets listed at the previous price of the new item. Often they dont bother discounting it. If there is a motherboard in b grade you fancy best thing to do is post in CS forum asking for the b grade price and you will find within an hour its been up dated with the correct discounted price.

I've often done this for GPU's. b grade motherboards can be utter bargains and I've always found them to be in as new (if not brand new) condition just missing accessories. Often just get the board and the io shield.

I've picked up a couple of b-grade boards from here in the past, I believe every one of them came with the IO shield, but various other items were missing. cables etc.

Not all come with IO shields. Luck of the draw I guess.
