hey guys,

looking at getting a 1440p monitor, just seen the DGM in the B-Grade section for £300.

are these worth getting? have they got bad image quality etc?
just abit cautious about a B-Grade monitor

cheers

According to the piles of posts I've read on here the DGM monitors power brick is notorious for going boom, Personally I'd spend the extra on the version that comes with a full warranty.

so no issues with the power brick? b-grade DGM's worth getting?

Remember they are B-Grade for a reason, They could have a large amount of dead pixels, Not work fully, Missing important items i.e power brick or power cable.
In my opinion because OCUK don't tell you why exactly it's B-Grade I would stay away from that section, It's a huge gamble to take with your money.

my opinion on b-grade monitors are as follows

As a Primary monitor on your main system - AVOID AT ALL COST due to possibility of issues from dead pixels to warranty

As a monitor on a secondary system, where you just need something cheap to show an image, I would consider b-grade provided new is not around a similar price or cheaper

Well said, Would be good if OCUK actually told people what they were getting though, If there was just some type of information it would be so helpful.

B-grade monitors are probably returns that people thought had to much backlight bleed etc.

some people might just be pretty damn fussy but it's a lottery
