B grade question

I bought a graphics card from here in may last year. I never really paid attention to the little labels stuck on the pcb but the other day when i was moving a few cables around I noticed my graphics card has B grade label attached, I did a little google on this and it says faulty returns or item that has been refurbished etc. As I have the invoice next to me it says the item I purchaced 'condition' NEW.

I'm not overally impressed about this, as if I new I was getting a B grade for £380 back when it came out I wouldn't have brought it. Does anyone know what If anything I can do about this. the card in question does occasionally brown screen while playing games but I'm not entirely sure this is a fault or driver issues, as it only does it rarely. my card is XFX 5870 XXX

If you paid for a new product, then you clearly didn't receive the correct one. I suggest you contact OcUK through the customer services section of the forum

So you definitely didn't buy it from the B-grade section? Either way you're probably going to have a bit of a hard time explaining why it's taken you over a year to notice. Nobody here can really answer though so you'll have to contact OCUK. Best phone them as they can take a lifetime to answer via the support section.

well, I dont recall seeing any b-grade products on here. plus the product description doesnt mention it being B-grade and contition box says new, so its not somthing that is that apparent. specially as the b grade label is quite small. :( but yeah I will contact them sortly about this.

Gonna be a difficult one to explain, although if the serial number is the same on the card and on the box OCUK have no excuse.

B Grades are not faulty, (Unless it has never been tested properly) they are customer returns and can be refurbs. The fact that you have had it over a year anyway, means there is nothing wrong with the product!

If u think it is faulty then just RMA it, u never know it might go the other way this time and get the new one back u should have got in the first place :)

Im looking at my various invoices from OcUK, it doesrnt say anywhere on the invoices i have condition NEW. AFAIK Ocuk have never had a section on the invoixes with item condition on it. On Bgrade items i have purchased it always says *B Grade* in the item description oh the invoice.
