Seeing a lot of b-grade items appearing every day over the last week.

Are they dismantling display models and selling off the components one by one?

I am like a kid in a sweet shop atm with a new R9 290 gfx card, 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor, NZXT 410 case and a 1250w 80+ gold fully modular psu, all for £580 !!!

I have always checked the b-grade items as i have had no issues whatsoever when buying them from OC.

Just a little curious as to why so many components are popping up right now, i know my bank balance can cope but that's not the point :)

What does "B-Grade" mean?
B-Grade items are manufacturer's repairs or items we are unable to sell as new, they may be subject to packaging damage or may be a brown box product. All B-Grade items come with a 90 day warranty and may be missing items such as driver CD's and cables. Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with the reason why this is B-Grade as each B-Grade item is different.

Could be someones unwanted returned item or a manufacturer fixed item etc.

Probably Christmas returns.

Makes sense. Could be any number of reasons, just that "new" b-grade stock pops up rarely and the same items are there for months.

I hesitated on one or two items over the last few days, checked out some reviews, thought about it for an hour or two, decided yes, only for them to be snapped up by somebody else.

Blink and someone else gets a great deal :D

Good on yea. Always surprises me how many people turn their nose up at b-Grade items. I needed a 4790k and just by chance looked in this section, I found one and saved £50. Bargain. :D

Nice :), I love the B grade section, I'm always looking through there for bargains.

Some b-grade items better than some brands when new.

Not sure if i was looking at a 4790k in the last 10 days or a 4690k but i hesitated for an hour and by the time i told myself yes, it was gone.

Delighted to have my monitor and case delivered today, just need my psu before i transfer everything over to my new case.

Monitor looks perfect, original wrapping intact, damaged box??
Case had two small white marks on the side where the side panel had been removed i guess, simple fix with a black permanent marker.
Haven't put my gfx card through the ringer yet, will wait for the psu.

Don't trust my nearly 5 years old 750w 80+ bronze psu, better to be safe than sorry :)

Had too many bad experiences with B Grade to consider them unless the saving is considerable. Faulty products that hadn't been checked and too many mis-labelled products (1tb instead of 3tb drives, graphics cards with the wrong specifications listed), then having to arrange to return the products, get refunds for the products and refunds from the postage (somehow it's my fault I was sent the wrong item?). I'm still out of pocket from my last B Grade purchase. Now I either buy new or second hand from sellers who check their stock before sending.
