b grade seagate 500gig hd problems.

i baught a b grade hard drive 4 weeks ago from ocuk cheap £40 inc delivery,but i think the drives faulty ,after 2 weeks the system would not boot,so i had to do a format,now 2 weeks later every few seconds when browsing with firefox i get short 2 second freezes,same when gameing every few secs, freezes then ok for a few seconds,i did a seagate hd test and it failed the first two tests,i now have it as a slave for storage,could i get a replacement,if so where do i send it,

You need to check if its in warranty on the seagate website and send it to them for RMA if it is

Well..you would send it back to OcUK if you brought it from ther as you said.

Send them a webnote, see what they have to say as your warranty may still be with them...However I am unsure what the warranty would be on a B-Grade product.

I also bought a few items from B grade inc. my current mobo and i think they only give 14 days warranty after that you have to contact the manufacturer for warranty.Just as Meatloaf said check manufacturers site for warranty.

ocuk gave 14 days warranty.ive had it 28 days,
i may just keep it for storing my hd movies,or could it still fail,

If the disk is failing some test then its best to send it for replacement.Just enter the drive serial in the warranty checker to see if it is still under warranty.

My B-grade seagate is under warranty til 2013, it was refurbed this year, so just check the above link to find out.
