Hi i am looking at a few B grade items to help a friend save some cash in cheap build. i have noticed the item pages say "B Grade items may have been used, have damaged packaging, missing accessories or a combination of these"

now it say they may have missing accessories, i assume that all the parts need to use an item will be included? like a cpu cooler would have a fitting kit right?

I certainly should hope so. I tend to ask about B-Grade items on an individual basis in the CS section if I have concerns such as these. The guys have been very good and often go and check it for me. :)

I remember when I asked if a P8Z68-V Pro in B-Grade had the I/O shield, they went and unboxed it, and came back and told me it had. :D

A cooler would hopefully have all the bits otherwise it would be useless. If looking at motherboards though you could end up with just a bare board and nothing else, not even a I/O shield. I bought a B grade gpu (Palit Jetstream GTX670) a couple of years ago and while it was just the bare card it was a beauty and performed faultlessly.

There are some things such as PSU, SSD/HDD that I would never buy as B grade/reconditioned. Considering the reduced warranty and often minimal savings over buying new it often makes more sense just to pay extra for a brand new item.

yeah I bought my sabertooth mobo B grade and it turned up without the I/O shield and even the cpu fan mounting bracket and back plate. figured I just wouldn't get a user manual, sata cables and driver disk but sometime I guess it really is just the bare board. no real complaints about it but if you're trying to do a quick build it can be annoying when things like that catch you out.

i would have been a little upset if it have not cpu fan mounting bracket and back plate

Pretty much as the others have said, I've bought a soundcard, GPUs, headsets, and motherboards from B-Grade and I generally expect NO accessories and consider it a bonus if I get them.

GPUs came in blank white boxes with nothing else (fine).
Soundcard came in a blank box with nothing else (again, would've been fine but was actually DOA - returned and refunded without issue)
Headset - came with all required cables and actually came with a carry bag, which was nice, but no box.
Motherboard - came in a white MSI box, didn't have any accessories or even an I/O shield. Bought a shield for £10 off the Bay, but this wiped out the saving going B-grade.

All things considered I'd happily buy anything B-grade except motherboards, unless I already had an I/O shield for that model.
