B grades

Ok Just read that "Below is the original description for this product, any reference to warranty is to be ignored. Warranty for this item is 90 days as with all B Grade items."
so save £100 For 90 days or spend £100 for 3 years?

As it is a Classy, I am sure EVGA would still go with the warranty, as they transfer the warranty to the new owner from the date of being made (or something like that). So if it was made in October of last year, I would be confident that it would still be valid till October of 2016.

Might pay to ask in the EVGA thread but personally, I would go for it.

did i not read somewhere after the 90 days the rest of the warranty goes with the manufacturer ? can this be confirmed from admin??? and is it with all manufacturers??? i only now realized there's plenty of different b-grade items for sale!!!

The B grade items can sometimes be manufacturer repairs etc, which would mean they wouldn't - but could depend on the manufacturer.

All our B-grade is advertised with a 90-day warranty, if its out of that period then unfortunately not.

B-Grade can be a repaired product at times which the manufacturer reduces the term on, hence why B-grade section clearly has the 90 day period.

id sooner pay the extra for the full (new) 3 year warranty...if there's only 90 days all together no way on earth there worth the price!!!

Some of them are good deals though, £260 for a windforce 290 is very good (But 10+ in stock rings alarm bells), but yeah the warranty is a grey area. Although IMO I've never had a gpu die on me, if it were to I'd expect it to be sooner rather than later.

Funny thing with graphics cards. They tend to be working or DOA. If they develop a fault its pretty early on in its life (first month, tops) unless of course it dies because of excessive voltage :D

Me personally would rather save the £100 :D

back in the day i had an 8800 ultra die on me with something like 3 weeks of a 3 year warranty left....... i understand that in most cases nowadays.... gpu's are moved on..as there's nearly new tech so often now!!!...

yes because someone else had the first play with it... so you would expect to save some moneys... but to lose 2 years 9 months warranty and its second hand... imo 100 pounds is not justified there!

I bought an EVGA GTX 580 b-grade and when I registered it on EVGA's website I got the full 3 year warranty.

I just got a KFA2 GTX 780 b-grade and they have given me the full 2 yr warranty.

It would depend on whether the original owner registered the card with EVGA or not. IMO when 300+ on a video card a 90 day warranty just doesn't cut it no matter how fancy the card is if it started to artifact after 6 months I would be pretty gutted.

Does the standard 14 day no quibble return times still apply to b grade items? You could buy it and then seenif you can register the card with EVGA direct if you can't then you then have the option of returning the card to ocuk.
