Has anyone here tried using the B&Q website ?

Need to wait for over an hour just to browse there website :(
You’ve joined our queue

Your estimated wait time is: more than an hour

I could understand if you had to wait an hour to buy something (checkout)

I often wonder that too, only thought is they've maybe reached their limit, so if there was any more people even browsing the site may crash ?

I don't understand it either. Are that many people really browsing at the same time to cause the site to go down? A couple of weeks ago it told me there was 83,000 people in front of me in the queue. I don't know a huge amount about servers but is 83,000 people at the same time a lot?

a lot of the stores have re-opened now, my local has.
I think the queue to use the website is maybe to stem the flow of orders hitting the warehouse's?

I use tool-station anyway, only been in a B&Q once in my life.

One of the few uses of a B&Q Tradepoint account, the website is unrestricted and is a nicer site anyway than the DIY.com version. Same stocks, same stores.

I had to wait 4 hrs the other night to get on
Regarding the app you did get straight on at first but they fixed that.
However when your on that page constantly hit the back button and it will let you in ;)
Our b&q is open now anyway but lack of stock for the things i need

Waited for ages to find they had nothing I wanted in stock. I think it's more likely they are struggling to get and ship items rather than too much traffic for the web infrastructure.
