B.T and the mysterious broadband!

Long story short I've moved in with my dad for a bit(split up with the missus) and he has had BT broadband for years which is supposed to be between a 2-5mb connection, but it has never peaked above 1mb and 120kb sec download speed! He has always had trouble with BT sorting it out so I took it into my own hands yesterday and phoned them up pretending to be him, now this is where it gets interesting.

After explaing the problem(wanting better speed and a new homehub) SEVEN times after being passed between multiple depatments they all give me the same excuse... there is no trace of the account despite my dads bank statements showing £27.60 going out on the 7th of every month to BT and his email addy being @btopenworld.com!

Absolutely fuming as all they say is "Sorry sir nothing we can do"?! I mean seriously what can I do if the isp can't even help me? I guess it would help if they were english for a start :(
 
I know this is unrelated but you mentioned the lack of englishness on the customer service line. Took me 5 phone calls to get 3 (the mobile network) to switch off the adult content filter (yes so I can look at porn on my phone) not just that though, they block some really weird websites like tshirthell lol.

Anyways, after phoning up numerous times and being asked which phone I have (like it matters) and being transferred around loads to iPhone support (again, like it matters) I asked 4 times to have the filter removed, only for it to come back on a few days later.

And yes, their customer service support isn't english either, well the speak it, they just don't understand it lol.

I suppose I should be more sympathetic, I mean I do work in a call centre lol
