B&W 1st Gen Zepplin adapter

Guys ,

I’ve just bagged an old B&W Zepplin ( minter ) sounds amazing . It’s working fine with an old 30 pin I pod but is there an adapter I can use to make turn it into a Bluetooth connectivity direct to my IPhone 7 ?

I’m sure there is but I don’t know what to look for ?

You need a bluetooth receiver that will plug into the 3.5mm jack of the Zeppelin. You need one thats mains powered as most of them are for use in cars.

Awesome , did you notice any lack of sound quality at all ?

Worked really well. What didnt work so well was trying to get Amazon Dot to auto-connect to it, without me needing to get up and press a button on it.
I think this was more an issue with the Dot than the bluetooth jobbie, as my phone could connect to it whenever it liked.

I recommend using a Chromecast Audio to connect to the 3.5mm jack on the back of the Zeppelin

Unless chromecast capability on iphone has improved since 2016, I wouldn't.
On a android phone? Go for it - works great.

Only need it for Spotify connect

Edit: haven't personally had any issues with Chromecast on iOS

I have a LAYEN i-DOCK 4.1 (similar to the one posted above) and it works great on my old Klipsch dock. It's not as good a dock as the Zeplin was at the time, but it works really well.
