Based on most student houses, it looks like the lounge to me

I really like those shots, it really captures what a student house is like, particularly picture 2.

hey, i really like them! I would love to be able to take those kinda photos, wonder if u might post your settings? Would be great to replicate the lighting effects!

Thanks, it's the lounge in the 2nd pic. The settings are embedded in the EXIF in the photo, you can see them with photoshop or most image viewer with the correct plugin.

The subjects and composition don't really have any impact but they are well exposed and at first I thought they'd been shot on Ilford FP4, its hard to find digital B/W photos that can be mistaken for film so well done!
