Have just moved in with a friend and he already has an old pair of B&W DM110 speakers. I have the Q-Acoustics cinema and a Denon AVR-1911.

Any one think this would be a bad match up? Using the DM110 as the fronts and the 1010i's as the sides and rears.

I only ask as I've read that you need to be careful about what fronts you use with your centre - still a bit new to this so any help would be appreciated!

Cheers

James

no harm in having a play about if you got the stuff already, the centre is mainly used for speech in films (its not its only purpose but one of the main reasons its used in home cinema) so you might need to fine tune it so that it does not get drown in the sound of the fronts.

same with most set ups, give it a go and if your happy with it then you lost nothing :)

had a quick play last night but couldn't give it a full test as by the time I was all moved in it was 2am. This evening is a different story!

I really like the retro look of them in contrast to the rest of the kit...
