B450M Steel Legend BIOS update for Ryzen 5600

Hello

I'm planning to upgrade my Ryzen 2600 to 5600, I have ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard, what is the best or right way to do it? As I understand once you update Bios 2600 will stop working? Do I flash to new bios with 2600, then restart and replace it with 5600? And should I go for certain bios or just latest?
My current bios is 3.2 oddly AsRock do not recommend to use it with 2600.
Currently I have a RTX 2060 Super and 16GB of Balllistix 3000 Mhz any benefits of going for B550 mob or higher Mhz RAM? PC is used for gaming on 1080p

The only changes to bios most manufacturers made was to remove the older AM4 bulldozer chips, all Ryzen cpu`s are supported by all bioses.... just update to the latest.

Thank you and good to know, I was reading when 5000 came out once you update older cpu will not work but reading from other threads its not the case.

Just to concur The 2600 will still work after the bios update it's older cpu that wont work .
