hello i was wondering about b650 aorus elite ax (rev 1.2) achieving higher memory speeds like 8000mhz "stable" i want to maximize my am5 platform with 7800x3d the issue is there is no information about this specific board with higher speed

Is 8000mhz RAM really that important to you?
I would think you'd probably spend the same selling the 7800x3d and buying the new 9000 series x3d instead

Yeah I will buy 9000 x3d but I don't want 8 core cpu am planning for 9950x3d if its available, about 8000mhz I just want to maxmise the platform even when I upgrade it will be always the best

You don’t need 8000 MT/s RAM to get great performance on AM5.

6400 MT/s could offer better performance and be easier to achieve (depending on a lot of factors).

Higher RAM frequencies don’t mean better performance all the time, especially when you really need to know what you’re doing with the system and have a very good motherboard and CPU with a good IMC.

Edit: I also would wait for reviews before buying the 9800X3D. It may not be that much faster than the 7800X3D but I’m pretty sure is going to be expensive at launch given historical pricing of the 9000 series.

TPU did a recent scaling article with Zen 5 and the benefit from 8000 was pretty minimal compared to decent 6000-6400 memory.

In reference to the board: I don't know, in the spec page they imply that 8000 is possible.

Yeah I saw buildzoid say they straight up lying about supported memory lol, I don't know about this board though also I understand am not going get much in term of avg fps but 1%lows it will be 5% improvement from my current config i don't know about really tuned 1:1 config performance but I want to test it out in multiple games and compare results hopefully this board can run 8000mt

Yeah they'll often find 1 kit of RAM that can run super high speeds fairly easily after binning 100s of other kits and pair it with a CPU with a really good IMC and then say it can run really high speeds.

I'd be surprised if you can event POST with 8000 MT/s RAM.
