Hi,
Thinking about adding Babylon 5 series to my dvd collection. Do any off the series have any bits cut? I'm sure someone on another fourm said that series 4 was cut? is this right?

Thanks

i have them all on VHS (bought them before DVD`s were wide spread :( ) and nothing is cut as far as i can see. also it wouldn't make any sense to cut anything out ?? the story is continuous from episode 1 to the last.

I have them all on DVD. Nothing is cut as far as im aware. All i can think of is that the person who mentioned the cut may have got mixed up with the fact that the series was nearly axed at season 4, so most of the stuff that was meant to happen over Season 4 and 5 got squeezed into season 4. This left season 5 a bit lacking for content in my opinion. The finale of B5 "Sleeping in Light" was actually filmed during season 4 as they didnt expect at that time to be taken up for another season so wanted to do the proper finale. They then got taken up for another season and it wasnt shown until the end of season 5.

Early releases of Season 5 on DVD had (or may still have) the pre-credits part of the episode "Fall of Centauri prime" missing. Other than that, i know of nothing missing. This was true of the R2 pal release. I'm not sure about the R1 version.

If you're slightly into sci-fi, you have to see this show from start to finish. It's totally fantastic.

I have all 5 series too, one episode has a problem where instead of zooming the scenes with CGI in and then clipping for 16:9, they just stretched them incorrectly.

I wish they'd put some cash in and redo all the CGI scenes in 16:9, be so good. Quality of the DVDs is a bit hit and miss because of this.

Top sci-fi series, still prefer this overall to the new BSG.
